Your donation helps maintain these vital funds
The Employee Crisis Assistance Fund provides financial assistance for eligible employees. Every dollar you donate directly assists a co-worker who is experiencing a crisis.
“When I got the call that my husband was at the emergency room, everything felt impossible and so overwhelming. On top of the stress and tension from working through the pandemic, I was suddenly faced with a financial burden I wasn’t prepared for. It was such a blessing to receive help from the crisis fund during the worst time of my life. I was able to focus on my husband and family instead of worrying. I work for the best place with the best support system and I’m so grateful.”

The Patient and Family Assistance Fund helps patients and their families’ meet needs related to their care when no other sources of funding exist.
“My sister had a hard time making food for herself while she fought cancer. She kept trying, but would lose her breath and end up back at the hospital. To help ease her burden so she could focus on healing, the Social Worker paid for frozen meals using the fund, and then helped connect her to Meals on Wheels. They really cared about her.”

The Healthier Communities Fund augments systemwide efforts to improve access to care and eliminate health disparities in the communities we serve.
“Together, we have been able to partner with the Northern Illinois Food Bank to provide mobile pantries for our patients and communities in need. This has been a meaningful opportunity to work with a community agency specifically to meet the needs of Northwestern Medicine patients.”

Why should I contribute
Employee Crisis Assistance Fund
At Northwestern Medicine, we dedicate our time and our talents to providing patients with the best care possible. But we also know the importance of looking out for one another. Should a situation arise that puts one of our own in need, donating to the Employee Crisis Assistance Fund means your colleagues have a safety net. There’s comfort in knowing that we are here for each other, whether it’s on the front lines of a pandemic or by making a donation to ensure we all have help when we need it.

How does your donation help
Patient and Family Assistance Fund
We provide the highest-quality health care at Northwestern Medicine, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. When our patients experience financial challenges while receiving the medical care they need to get better, the costs can become an overwhelming burden. Donating to the Patient and Family Assistance Fund can help make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones, beyond the exceptional care they receive. It’s an opportunity to help in someone’s greatest time of need.

What impact can we make
Healthier Communities Fund
We are a community of caregivers, and we care about the communities we serve. We are committed to making Chicagoland as healthy as it can be, but we recognize that no one organization can do that by itself. Donating to the Healthier Communities Fund allows us the opportunity to widen our reach and target our support to the people who need it most.
