Marianjoy Scholarship Program

Committed to students with disabilities and their pursuit of higher education

Each year, Marianjoy proudly awards scholarships to students with disabilities to help them pursue educational programs at accredited two-year or four-year colleges and universities, or vocational-technical schools in the United States.

The Marianjoy Scholarship Program has awarded more than $920,000 in scholarships since it was established in 1994. Administered through Northwestern Memorial Foundation, funding for all scholarship awards is provided through generous donations from the community. The scholarships have had a profound impact on the lives of these talented individuals: past recipients include a physician, an attorney, a professional musician, a pastor, a film writer, a therapist and a teacher, among others.

The Marianjoy Scholarship Program is intended for those individuals with a permanent physical disability or functional impairment, which may include:

  • Brain Injury
  • Musculoskeletal Impairments, such as Amputation or Multiple Trauma
  • Neuromuscular Disorders, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, or Guillain-Barré Syndrome
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Stroke
