Meet the teams within Northwestern Memorial Foundation
Third-party-affiliated philanthropic groups generate community and financial support for Northwestern Medicine. Through joint efforts with Northwestern Memorial Foundation staff, affiliated organizations raise crucial funds for a broad array of patient care programs, research projects and community-based initiatives.
Recognizes donors for their loyal support of Northwestern Medicine and assists with donors’ healthcare needs and questions. Skilled at expediting appointment scheduling and making physician referrals.
Produces compelling communications items through various means, such as proposals and stewardship reports, brochures and newsletters, social media and much more. Strives to engage donors and prospective donors; inform general public about Northwestern Medicine; strengthen relationships within our communities; and honor and protect Northwestern Medicine and Northwestern Memorial Foundation brands by adhering to highest quality standards.
Corporate and Foundations
Establishes and maintains relationships with corporations and foundations that have strong philanthropic goals to advance Northwestern Medicine’s mission.
Recruits new supporters and strengthens relationships with existing supporters. Produces several annual direct response campaigns and strives to understand donors’ motivations for supporting Northwestern Medicine.
Ensures that all donors feel acknowledged and appreciated. Communicates with donors and builds relationships with them, emphasizing the positive effects that donors’ philanthropy has on patients, families, care providers and others.
Finance and Gift Processing
Serves as a resource for leadership and staff to identify and facilitate team financial needs. Gift Processing includes acceptance of gifts, database entry and coordination with other staff members who specialize in donor acknowledgment.
Raises funds from donors in support of Northwestern Medicine specialties and initiatives that include Cardiovascular Care, Neurosciences, Oncology, Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Nursing, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Post-Acute Care, Transplant and more. Gifts of all sizes make a difference!
Research and Database Management
Supports the Major Gifts and Donor Development teams by designing, maintaining and analyzing the donor information database. Also assists with prospect research by identifying and researching potential major gift donors.
Supports, plans and executes more than 100 annual fundraising and donor stewardship, cultivation and recognition events to support programs and initiatives at Northwestern Medicine.
Recruits and trains, deploys and recognizes more than 2,000 volunteers, who give generously of their time and talents at all Northwestern Medicine hospitals and additional care sites throughout our health system.
